Play Safely with TundraMountain

TundraMountain is free social entertainment. This page exists because even free play deserves an honest conversation about limits, wellbeing, and where to get support.

What is a Social Game?

TundraMountain is a social game — a type of entertainment software that uses the visual language of real-money play (playing columns, symbol matching, win states) but operates entirely with virtual tokens that have no monetary value whatsoever. You cannot deposit money, withdraw money, or redeem tokens for any real-world item or currency.

Social games are designed for entertainment and relaxation. They are not a substitute for real activity, social interaction, or financial decision-making. The visual resemblance to real-money formats is a design aesthetic, not an invitation to interpret outcomes as financially meaningful. We state this clearly and repeat it because some players, especially those with prior exposure to real-money formats, may find the visual similarity confusing. We do not want that confusion to persist.

Adults Only — 18+

TundraMountain is designed for adults 18 years of age and older. The age gate on entry is a genuine boundary, not a formality. If someone in your household who is under 18 has accessed this platform, please use your browser's parental controls or device access restrictions to prevent future access. We take this seriously.

It Is Supposed to Be Relaxing

Good entertainment feels like a choice you are glad you made. TundraMountain should feel like a few calm minutes in an interesting visual world — the glow of bioluminescent creatures, the puzzle of lining up symbols, the small satisfaction of a nudge that works. If it starts to feel like a task, an obligation, or a way to manage a mood — that is a signal worth noticing.

We have deliberately not included countdown timers, daily login streaks, social pressure features, or notifications. Those features are designed to create obligation. We don't want that. Play when you want, stop when you want, and don't come back until you actually feel like it.

Walk Away When It Stops Being Fun

The best time to stop playing is whenever you decide to. Not when the session ends, not when your virtual tokens run out, not after "just one more play." The platform will be here when you come back. Nothing is lost by stopping early.

If you find yourself resisting the impulse to stop — if you feel like you "need" to continue — that is worth reflecting on. Even in a free game with no financial stakes, habitual compulsion around play can be a signal of broader patterns that deserve attention.

Warning Signs to Look Out For

  • Playing for longer than you intended, repeatedly.
  • Using play to cope with stress, boredom, anxiety, or difficult emotions.
  • Feeling irritable or restless when you cannot play.
  • Thinking about the game frequently when you are not playing it.
  • Neglecting other activities, responsibilities, or relationships to play.
  • Finding that play makes you feel worse rather than better, but continuing anyway.
  • Confusing the visual format for real-money play even knowing intellectually that it is not.

If any of these resonate, please reach out to one of the support organisations listed below. They offer free, confidential support and are genuinely useful — not just legal boilerplate.

A Short Self-Check

1. Am I playing because I genuinely want to, or because I feel like I should?

2. Am I playing to relax, or to escape something I would rather not think about?

3. Have I lost track of how long I've been playing in the last week?

4. Would I feel uncomfortable if a friend or family member saw how much I use this platform?

5. Is there something else I genuinely need to do right now that I am putting off by playing?

Honest answers to these questions are more useful than any automated tracking system we could build. You know your own patterns better than we do.

What to Do If Something Feels Off

If you are concerned about your own relationship with play — social or otherwise — the most useful first step is talking to someone. That can be a friend, a family member, a GP, or one of the specialist organisations below. You do not need to be in crisis to reach out. Preventative conversations are easier than recovery ones.

If you want to contact us directly, you can reach the TundraMountain team at [email protected]. We will respond, and we will take your message seriously. We are a small studio, not a corporation with automated responses.

If Someone Close to You Needs Help

Supporting someone with a compulsive play habit is difficult. The organisations below offer guidance for family members and friends, not only for the individuals who are directly affected. You are not alone in this, and there is support that is specifically designed for people in your position.

How We Keep This Game Safe by Design

TundraMountain is built with the following intentional design constraints: no real-money transactions of any kind; no countdown timers or urgency mechanics; no push notifications; no daily login streaks or loss-chasing prompts; no manufactured near-miss visual effects that imply a win was close when it was not; no social pressure features. The Hold session limit (3 per day, reset at midnight) is a rate-limiting mechanism, not a monetisation lever. We do not benefit financially from the amount of time you spend on the platform.
