Our Story

About TundraMountain

A small Vancouver studio building free, transparent social entertainment for Canadian adults who appreciate design, depth, and honest play.

TundraMountain was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, by a team of designers and developers who grew frustrated with the opacity of online entertainment platforms. We wanted to build something different: a free social experience that never tricks users into thinking virtual tokens carry monetary value, never applies dark patterns, and never targets anyone under 18.

The name TundraMountain reflects our Canadian roots. We are a studio that appreciates the vast, unhurried nature of this country — the idea that entertainment should feel like that too: spacious, unhurried, and honest. The deep-sea aesthetic is our visual language for that depth: bioluminescent, layered, glowing from within.

Every game mechanic we ship goes through a responsible-design review. We ask: does this feature create a sense of urgency? Does it imply losses are near-wins? Does it make users feel like real outcomes are at stake? If yes — it does not ship. The Nudge & Hold system in our current title was designed specifically to be interesting as a puzzle, not as a chase.

Our Values

What we do

We build free social games with beautiful visual design, honest mechanics, and clear responsible-play messaging on every page. We credit open-source contributors. We disclose affiliations.

What we do not do

We never charge for virtual tokens, never offer real-money outcomes, never market to anyone under 18, and never use urgency timers, manufactured near-miss mechanics, or loss-chasing prompts.

How we measure success

A session that ended when the user decided to stop — not when we decided for them — is a good session. Transparent time spent. No regret. That is what we optimise for.

The Team Behind the Glow

TundraMountain is a compact creative studio. We keep the team intentionally small — it keeps decisions fast, standards high, and accountability clear.

"We built TundraMountain because we wanted a social game we'd actually feel comfortable recommending to our families. That required being completely honest about what it is — and equally honest about what it is not." — Maya & Rohan
